I did have a roaring fire going in our newly installed multifuel stove, but I blinked, and now it seems to have died down again.
Great those stoves Ade, have you a good supply of hardwood logs or are you burning old pallets as we do in Yorkie land.

Woke up. Decided not to go to work. Bought myself a set of oven gloves. drove up a pub that was closed. Got a strop on about my fridge/freezer which broke Christmas eve. ate as much of the food in it as I could before binning the rest (££ ouch). Watched crap TV while having a tirade about closed pubs.

Got up today, went to work. No brewing related mishaps but got home to find an upstairs ceiling had caved in. I hate my lazy landlord.

Currently drinking in a pub in Chester with a face like thunder and an arse which isn't far off being banned under the Geneva Convention.

I love Christmas.

Haven't got any hardwood logs yet but will get a load. I can get a regular supply of old pallets though :thumb:

We've actually had that stove for about 8 years but finally had some spare cash and have only just had the chimney lined and got the thing installed. Bought a narrowboat about 8 years ago but she was in a bit of a sorry state and needed a total refit. This 5kw multifuel stove came off the boat and I installed a smaller 3.5kw wood burner. Even that is too big, within 10 minutes of firing it up we're removing clothes and opening windows.
