Funnily enough, most of it was from the wife! She got me started by buying me a kit from my LHBS for my birthday and has been enthusiastically tucking into everything I've produced so far.
But yes, next year I think I'll need to add a new liver to my Christmas wish list
Santa brought me
a Wilko Chardonnay 6 bottle kit
TWO Woodforde's Wherry kits

My wife got me the book For the Love of Hops: The Practical Guide to Aroma, Bitterness and the Culture of Hops by Stan Hieronymus.
Since we're currently living out of suit cases she also got me a Samuel Adams Winter Classics Variety Pack. The chocolate bock is particularly interesting.
Got a stainless steel brew paddle, counter bottle capper, and a hanna digital thermometer. Posted links of the relevant items to my son and daughter in my wish list so got the things I wanted. All from our forum sponsers :thumb: .
I got a 'Homebrew Online' brewkit with a Coopers Dark malt can-thingy. I've just sanitised the FV etc and will be making the stuff this afternoon.
I got it from my missus and my Dad piped up saying that he used to homebrew back when he was in his 20s for a few years before giving it up when he moved house. He is as excited as I am to get going!
Pretty pleased with the contents of Santa's sack this year. I got the Jamil/White Yeast book, so I can stop bugging you all with yeast questions now, and also the steriliser pumping part for the top of my bottling tree.
Santa was really good to me a coopers cerveza and a coopers English bitter, a new FV with tap, bottle tree and a few other brewing things plus a American dad series 7 box set :) something good to watch when brewing.
She finally arrived  ...gotta say very impressed with the mini size of this compressor...for some reason I just thought it'd be bigger. That was the final piece of kit needed...brew ahoy
