I’m on a night out:
Hop House in pub 1 - less bland than the other stuff they had
Brewdog Indie Pale Ale in pub 2 - I actually think it was more bland than Hop House. Disappointing.

Pub 3 - cask Tower IPA from local microbrewery Redcastle. It’s an English IPA rather than an American one, but is nice. And definitely tastes like it’s from a fresh cask.

Yeah I’d maybas well have been drinking Tennants with the others.

Now all 4 of us are on Flensburger Pilsner because it comes in 330ml swing tops which will be perfect for my upcoming Belgian Dubbel. It’s very nice, malty and crisp as a German lager should be.

A wee dram before bed.

Big weekend ahead! Bottoms up.

Get in there Larryf! I picked up a bottle of brew dog clockwork tangerine earlier..just to see what it's like. I'll have a few later no doubt. Beef madras made and on a low heat in the oven.

Last night had a Celebrator and an Orval, both fantastic. Orval probably vaulted straight into my top three or four beers ever, it was so complex with a sweet lemony fermentation character.

Continuing my ‘special beers from the continent’ weekend with this bad boy now. Big sour up front but plenty of Brett funk and an almost dry brut type mouthfeel. Lovely stuff.

Cloudwater back to there best with this one MCR DIPA Citra BBC. Mango and pineapple juice bomb, light bitterness soft Mouthfeel with a slight hop burn I'm loving this one glad I picked up two of them .
For all you mucky buggers out there bbc hops aren't what first jumps into your head they are apparently "pure" Pellets developed by haas with the Boston Beer Company.

Finished the last bottle of my Celebration Ale Clone from last October. Still tasting pretty damn good, wish I had more.

My Lord - found an amber ale I’d made about 6 months back and hated. Better than some of my newer brews .
** message for all new brewers **

It’s all true . Time .

BBC - I thought they only did biased news reports and strictly come eastenders bakeoff sugar free cash in the attic? :laugh8:
