Had a cracking weekend just chillin with the kids and missus in the sun, brewing an NEIPA yesterday, so finishing the weekend off with a couple of bottles of Elvis Juice and a cheeky Jim beam or 2. Nowt like a bad head on a Monday morning teaching arsey teenagers.

Found a Coopers Dark Ale, 6.1%, with a Mosaic hop tea that I bottled 15/08/17, God knows how that slipped through the net. Absolutely gorgeous, did make the mistake of giving my beloved a swig, well what turned out to be quite a large swig TBH, trained her a bit too well methinks. Got a Coopers Coffee/orange stout next (the orange didn't work out in all honesty) 7.1%, guess who's not working tomorrow.

More disappointing IPA. Its getting blander. The CML yeast tang is almost gone, which is a plus point, but so are the hops. Part of me is hoping it goes off, so I can justify pouring it away, but at the moment its perfectly drinkable. If rubbish. Really rubbish.

Begian IPA, with Citra in a supporting role! Very refreshing, tastes a bit German. And £1 a bottle at Aldi's. Me like.

That looks rather interesting. Car is going in for service just around the corner from an Aldi tomorrow. I might make a detour when I pick it up!

The good lady is busy finishing an essay for her degree, so I'm watching documentaries and getting ******. Batemans Victory, My Kitsters last stand homebrew, now a McEwans Champion. Nothing under 6% so far. Naughty boy.

I had a bottle of citra smash pale ale the other night. Cant remember the brewery but its the first time i have smelled and tasted the infamous cat ****. Truly disgusting which i find very odd as citra is one of my favourite hops and never brewed anything near as horrible using it.

My first ever homebrewed sour beer. A Belgian Dubbel where I failed to pay attention and let the mash get too hot. Once it stopped fermenting (1.022) I dosed half of it with a commercial sour blend (got to 1.010) and the other half with blackberries and various lambic dregs (got to 1.012). As it happened when I tasted them about eight months later I liked them best blended about 50/50. So here it is. Not what I set out to make but really quite enjoyable.

I'm on a 4 day bender as not in work till tuesday 19:00 :gulp:

The fri-sat-sun-mon break happens every 4 weeks as a result my shed stocks are approaching danger level :( . As for tonight.. fake ipa x 3, 2 x yassim, an east vs west and maybe a st. bernardus abt 12. The fake ipa when super chilled gives that juicy water experience you get from some brewdog on-tap beers :thumb::thumb:.

Tell u what I'm going to grab some more for the freezer
