Almost the last of the kit based beers - one done with loving care back in April or May of last year. A bit of a hop addition - a step on towards an AG stance on brewing.

It may well have been a Wherry or perhaps a pale Coopers can. Either way, the partial mash approach to brewing is a great way to make very good beer on the top of the stove and in a large oven.

Nugget hops as the pellet addition. Extraordinary.

Almost the last of my first Wherry too, didn't hop mine and it's a bit meh now to be honest at six months but it was my first brew in 30 years. Bottle of Ambiorix nearly finished then a Cwtch or two later. Variety is the spice and all that

A couple of bottles of the Wherry I accidentally left in the fermenter for a couple of months...

I think it's forgiven me as it is crystal clear, just the right amount of carbonation for me and tastes surprisingly hoppy. :thumb:

Just finished my second of my American amber ale, it's going down a treat. Opened a bottle of 2012 Rioja now for dinner time

I'm enjoying a bottle of my 'Black Sheepish Ale'. It's based on GW's Black Sheep Ale but I varied it a bit to suit what I had in stock. It's bloody good

I was at a popular London Nite Club (Under the Bridge) last night for a live gig and had a couple of Meantime keg beers, which were not bad, considering. The downside was I had to carry all the money need to pay for them, into the club in a wheelbarrow.

i'd suggest using the new-fangled £2 coins rather than copper coins

That looks great! Do you find the activator glass causes it to lose carbonation pretty quickly?

I dunno actually it seemed pretty lively and I didn't notice a deterioration but I was quite thirsty and it actually was really quenching and fresh , I had another tonight in a different glass and it didn't have quite the same snow storm but I think If I was honest I may not have cleaned that glass as well as I should have. Bit of a rookie mistake really, should make your glasses nice and clean and the beer will sparkle better.

I moved away from pilsners and such when I discovered Ale and started making Ale and whilst that hasn't changed I have rediscovered a love for the pilsner and lager style when its made fresh

I'm currently on a train travelling for work, so I did my usual routine of popping into the bottle shop on the way. Strangely, I've never tried Stone Ruination before, but I've finished it and now I understand the hype. If I can brew a DIPA like that I'd be happy. I've just finished sipping on To Ol Garden of Eden fruit IPA. £4.15 for a 330ml can, so I'm glad it's good. Renewed my faith in To Ol, as the last one I had, Snowball, was disappointing. Next up is 21|06, a Mosaic & Enigma pale ale from Brew by Numbers. Very correct, and unlike Adnam's Mosaic offering, this one has enough of those beautiful hops. I also have a F*ck the Christmas Tree is on Fire by Uiltje. It's a 10% orange and coffee oatmeal stout, so I think I'll wait until after this evenings hobnobbing before that. Washed down with these was a pack of Karkli, some sort of deep fried spiced lentil twizzler thing that the guy in the shop assured me was the ultimate beer snack. Popular up north apparently. They are good, but with 200 calories packed into 40g, they would be wouldn't they.

I have a partial and Ag version of Ruination clone although we changed the hops but it stands up to its name.Four bottles and goodnight 👍🍺
