My Guinness West Indian Porter Clone

Drinking my McStout. I made this thinking that I'd rather drink a beer made from McDonald's burger buns than artisan w loaf. I stand by this.

Despite minor salt, black pepper and beef flavour, it's pretty good. I did go hard on the dark malt though, which may cover a bit up.

If you open the tap and let the beer line run for a bit, it'll clear out all the trub at the bottom of the keg.

Big session this afternoon. The big local pub are looking to move into the craft market. They now sell over price macro but good real ale and ciders. Went through these 19 ( plus had a few to take home). They wanted someone with a but of knowledge to help.

Transferred my Porter which has been keg conditioned for a week, half into another keg and half into a polypin.

I think it probably needs a bit of time for the brown malt to mellow. It's also not as dark as in the picture, mix of glass shape and poor lighting I think. Promising.

It was actually an all-day breakfast sandwich my wife brought home for me (along with some beers) after taking the old lady shopping. The Banks was one of those beers and this Franziskaner is another.

Brewed 50l of new Zealand pale ale at a local brewery as part of a trial brew day recently and bottled it Tuesday. I think it needs a bit more carbonation so into the hot press for a week or so I think. But smells and tastes great.
