Classic

We would often find a pheasant in the garden, not so much since getting a spaniel.A pint of the usual turbo cider after putting on another 25L batch of it and a 11L cascade chinook pale good brew day in the unseasonal sunshine View attachment 109177
Interesting wine to find there.
What does the back label say in the small print?
Often S.C.A.E. Ch.something or other.
It'll tell you who Tesco sourced the Sauternes from.
Often, but not always, really good and good value French wines.
Oh, I like all Bordeaux, red, white, sweet.....![]()
Hmm, being cagey on the label.View attachment 109182
Doesn’t seem to want to give much away the name ‘Yvon Mau’ when searched for seems to have an awful lot of wines to their name so I am guessing bottle and resell wine for supermarket own brands.
From googling possibly Château Bêchereau de Ruat who seems to be tied to the ‘Dumon vineyards’, as you say will probably never get a straight answer either way I certainly enjoyed it.Hmm, being cagey on the label.
Yvon Mau is a big Negociant, consistently good.
The maker is credited by Tesco as Mr Dumon of Vignobles Dumon.
His other wines are award winning Saint Emilion reds, doesn't mention Sauternes.
Maybe the maker, not the property owner where the grapes hailed from.
Who knows?
So long as it is a good wine, not so important really, but it would be nice to know!
I found this on Tesco website for this Sauternes :
