I went to the post office to send off my Scottish National beers and popped into Waitrose next door. I had to pick up a couple of beers and another I think I’ve not seen before, this one from St.Austell at just 3.4%. It’s okay but a bit thin, probably to be expected at 3.4%.

Cornish Best since when has Best Bitter become 3.4% should be done under the trades description act.

Last night first.
Our thank you to our hosts for basically what is a free 10 day French Alps skiing holiday trip.
A slap up meal out at our expense.
Both stunningly good wines at way less than you would expect at home for the quality. A '22 white Burgundy and a bright vibrant and complex 15 year old Claret. We needed both as we all had the 'taster' menu.
The restaurant owner was effusive over my choices.
