A second Médoc (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) but Oaked this time, higher abv and much heavier, a good continuation of my evening,

Introducing my English Strong Ale “Titan”. It is dark but not quite as dark as the picture suggests. I was going to brew this beer with an ABV around 7.5-8.0% but miscalculated the grain bill and it ended up at 6.3% so it’s more Titanic than Titan. On the other hand it’s strong, easy drinking and flavourful so I’m definitely not unhappy.

With my beer lines been sat redundant for 2 weeks I gave them a clean today. Before I pour a pint I am testing the bottle condition version of my saison.
Tastes great, carb is not as high as I would have liked it this was a swing top so might have leaked a little. Need to try a proper capped version. It was clear until I had to wait for it to settle and added a bit of yeast.

On a cold ipa. I loved my kegs around when doing my lines and it must have knocked up some yeast at the bottom of the keg because it's usually clear. Surprised to get a pint, the keg is pretty empty.
