Holed up in our holiday hide away in the far south of Cornwall enjoying the first taste of this Hallertau Blanc steam Pilsener kegged a week ago, after a long drive.
Looking forward to some swimming, fishing, reading, eating and drinking -weather looking promising 🤞

this is nice and hoppy. Originally called green gheko but now it's just hatherwood ipa.apparently the green gecko brand went with the head brewer as it was his recipe. But this is still as good.

Didn't take pics but last night I tried my new Kiwi Pale and Saison.

Kiwi Pale was Motueka and Taiheke hopped, the Taiheke hops really overpower the Motueka unfortunately and the beer is decent but not spectacular, bit of citrus and resin and quite woody. Quite a bit like Southern Cross which was also overpowered the other hop additions.

Saison was a bit underwhelming, didn't have as much character as others i've brewed. I wonder if it's because I diluted it a bit to bring the ABV down. It's also slightly undercarbed. Still drinkable though and it's something different.

Been off the grog for a while back on tonight with Poes Boston Bitter, this one I used the hops as per the recipe, still a nice drink but I prefer the one I made with Challenger hops.

Was the Challenger added at different stages, or only for the full boil bittering as I do?
If you do, what does it give that you like?
I ask as I have quite a fair amount of it in stock.
