A bottle of my own dark mild, think I have a tad too much crystal as it’s a tad sweeter than I prefer but very drinkable non the less.

Curry night. I was in the co-op earlier which is generally one of the most disappointing beer shops. This was on sale for 80p. Triple hop as in added to 3 stages of the boil, but not nearly enough. Flavour of green apple. It is described as a golden ale which it isn’t…so true to form for the shop.

I was in the Co-op yesterday and spotted their beer range. Didn't see that one (or any other for 80p). At least you've got a bottle to put some of your stuff in.

Had a pint of Yankee and half a Blonde earlier, couldn’t take a picture of the half it was just wrong.

Bit of nostalgia for me in the top picture. I used to work for Vaux who originally made Double Maxim. When the brewery closed some of the directors and the head brewer set up Maxim brewery and continued to make it.

Which reminds me, when the brewery closed in 2000 all employees got a bottle of the last production runs from the Vaux and Wards of Sheffield (owned by Vaux) breweries. They were called "Time Gentlemen please". I've still got mine. I'll post a pic when I remember. Reckon its too late (and would be a shame) to drink them now.

I'm drinking a cup of tea. I'm still unhappy as I slept in off nights=waste of day off. Then what was supposed to be a simple trip to Wickes to pick up the last bits to finish my lads room turned into a farce as stuff "in stock" was in the back and "getting it now" turned into "it'll be tomorrow " and unsure of how long I waited meant me giving my car reg so I hadn't outstayed my parking allowance. In the end I opted for second choice on flooring and skirting and in the process couldn't be bothered going for beer as the next idiot in the way was getting strangled.

Easy done after do a block of night shifts. I try to break the cycle getting up at midday. Tough going but if I sleep on I can't sleep that night.
