A saison from @samale.

Hazy golden. Pours with a lovely head that maintained throughout.

Aroma is classic saison - tonnes of citrus rind and spice. Touch of earthy hop.

Flavour wise it follows the same vein and I get a bit of bubblegum too.

Mouthfeel is quite full and finishes dry. No astringency. Very refreshing.

Overall a fantastic saison. Will have to use this yeast next time I make a saison.

First time using saisonstein monster omega yeast. Thank you for the feedback

I like the look of watches...but I cannot wear one!
I'm 25+ years disliking wearing a watch. I think I might have a watch somewhere from the 1980's.

I found a citizen eco-drive when I was clearing a box out last year (No strap for some reason). You wind it up by moving it and it had been in the box for a few years so it was ticking every 2-3 seconds. Gave it a shake and got a new strap. Everyday watch now.

Low ABV pale while on dinner duties. Bit of an experiment this one. Amarillo & Simcoe, came out at 0.7%. Not bad… certainly as good as any commercial stuff I’ve tried..

A Triple, carbonation is decent although head retention is poor, it’s had about 200 days in the bottle now and is really starting to come good, if the weather is good this week end I will likely make another batch.

First taste of my latest Helles and I’m getting apple off-flavours yet again . I’m going back to the drawing board with lager yeasts. I suspect I’m coming up short on pitch rate, this was the second pitch from the ‘Double D’ starter overbuild. Either the vitality wasn’t as high as I expected or I got the numbers wrong somewhere with either starter.

high mash temp, low grain bill. In the end I upped the grain bill and just let it ride, happy if it over fermented and came out anywhere up to 2%..

OG ended up at 1.027, FG at 1.021..
