Sure you've been, but the Galway Bay pubs are good. Black Sheep on Capel Street and Against The Grain on Wexford Street are two I've been to.

It’s cold today was snowing a bit earlier. It all adds to the atmosphere at the Christmas markets and makes the big beers all the warming. And there is wodka for the walk home

Lidl's
Steam Brew Imperial IPA. Fantastic stuff, to be fair the whole range is. Especially given it is 1.29 Euros for a 500ml can. They put them out once every year or so.....I stock up. The stout is incredible.
