Evening all. I’m have a guest beer to start. A British Pils kindly sent by @dave_77.
Lovely pour, it’s crystal clear and perfectly carbonated. A steady stream of bubbles replenished the head right to the end of the pint.
The aroma is mainly lemon and grapefruit citrus, but the flavour is more complex. I’m getting grapefruit and gooseberry hop flavours on top of the mild malty background.
It’s a lovely lager, crisp dry and very refreshing. Cheers mate and that’s for sharing it.

Glad you enjoyed it. You got the last pint, I went to pour a glass the day after and it finished 😁

We’ve had a few days socialising so I’m well behind on forum posts, sorry!

Just back from another family lunch at the pub where I enjoyed several pints of Sussex Best. I’m now having a glass (the first glass of a new keg) of my latest batch of Butterfly Effect.

I have @pilgrimhudd kiwi pale kindly sent as a bonus swap. I’m getting a Refreshers sweets kind of aroma which is very interesting, flavour has complexity, a nice level of bitterness, very enjoyable.

That's what my airlock smelled like when I was fermenting my one. I remember describing it as sherbet but your description is better 😁

After kegging a beer this morning I went for a pub lunch with two of our grandchildren (Speckled Hen) then another pub with friends this afternoon (Harvey’s). Home now and I’m giving this beer a second chance after the last one had a plastic flavour. I’m pleased to say this bottle doesn’t have that flavour so there must have been something amiss with that bottle.

You should write them a sternly worded letter indicating your distress. To which they should dispatch a consignment of top quality ale for your satisfaction.
