Sticking with Duvel. This time Tripel Hop Cashmere. Not as smooth as the Citra but a nice drop nevertheless. Check out the new bottle brush too. Only 1 euro and it fits through the neck of the bottle!

4 parts gin, 2 parts lemon juice and 1 part simple syrup. Topped up with champagne (or, in our house, Prosecco) and garnish with lemon zest. I’d highly recommend it

Actually just tasting the end of a 6 month secondment for some of the week with another NHS organisation. It’s been lovely to work with old friends and it’s been fun- but it is good to be able to be back to focus on the day role. Cheers to all my colleagues working over the weekend .

To be honest my taste buds are not what they used to be if i can taste banana i will be very surprised, i will have to get SWMBO to do a taste test.

To be honest my taste buds are not what they used to be if i can taste banana i will be very surprised, i will have to get SWMBO to do a taste test.

I don’t get much banana from Erdinger, and hefe’s should be a celebration of clove and pepper phenols.
(I won’t bore you with mash steps/yeast choice/fermentation profile I’ve finally settled on to get the balance that I personally favour).
