This is a lovely beer. What yeast did you use

This lager is quite nice. Loads of malt, a little floral hoppiness, and just a hint of sulphur. Dry and nicely balanced.

I used 50/50 of t-58 & MJ New World. Similar to the Belgian pale which I haven't sent you yet with Idaho Gem/Adeena.

Vineco Merlot, travels well up in Aberdeen. Back tomorrow to the Betty Ford drying out clinic.

Are you an ex KenRidge kit brewer, how did you find the Vineco kit? Have to say that since they changed packaging I've only done 1 of their kits, been doing Renaissance from Spitting feathers since.

Tonight a couple of stubbys of Orfy's OSH clone. A lot of room for improvement bitterness being the major one to balance the malt, but still a refreshing drop.

First glass of the "Brown and Mild" I brewed a few weeks back. Not at all bitter, in fact quite sweet. Just how I remember it when I used to drink it with my dad and granddad in my local Watneys pub circa 1966!

No head, no condition and not, but oh so nearly, dropped clear.
Taste, mind you, is great.
It's the blended cask.
Rich, malty, bitter with good flavours of hops.
Have I just described southern ale?
Forgot one thing - about 6%.

Trying my nitro stout again to see how it’s carbonating/conditioning. The taste is coming on nicely but the creaminess of the head is still not what I expected - either it just takes forever with nitro or I need to make some changes to the recipe.

a toned down version of my last one. You don’t get tangoed when you drink this one but it’s a good pint.
