Time for an American Pale, not sure what the upper limit for colour according to BJCP but I must be sailing close to the wind. Who cares, it’s uber-tasty and you could read the morning paper through it. Win win.

St Peters Plum Porter. Its not bad but a touch sweet for me and the plum flavour has a slightly confected note - presumably some sort of plum essence. Might be better with a Mince Pie.

The penultimate bottle of the Vienna lager. Brewed it with my usual Helles water profile which was a mistake. I’d score it in the low 30s as is but if you add a few drops of a CaCl solution it’s completely transformed. A very enjoyable pint all the same, version 2 will be brewed with the same recipe but completely different water profile.

Me..wrecked.Mrs Clint wokc me up and we went back out to the pub and for food..I was very wrecked after that. She says me and my mate was singing carols in the street along with some busker..but we were "in the club style".. I also tripped over a kerb and twisted my knee. What a great night...remembered tally of beers...11 pints. I felt OK this morning just a bit tired.
Hair of the dog tonight methinks seeing as I have a week off.
