GW Archer Best Bitter (4.1%)

The best part of the weather being that bit colder now, beer out of an unrefrigerated corny is at the perfect temperature. I‘ve gone for a very low carbonation level (think it should work out about 1.1 volumes of CO2). Beer itself has a little sweetness, and the EKG come through nicely. Basically just a nice all round bitter.

First pour of my Irish Red Ale, or Irish-American to be more precise. I lost my EKG on brew day and had to go with some citra I had on hand. Its clear as a bell, the colour is just about where I wanted it, and tastes so much better than the last effort. I don’t know what possessed me to try Windsor yeast with that brew.

Oh dear I forgot. Irish law says you must watch it in Christmas pj’s with the tree up and eating overpriced Irish chocolates. can’t stand the skinny throwback from the 30’s presenting it though.

Mosaic APA demonstrating the clarifying power of a 1/2 teaspoon of gelatin during the cold crash. It’s delicious, great mouthfeel and the mosaic has mellowed to a lovely blueberry infused piney US hop flavour. Probably my favourite brew out of the last half dozen or so.

Sampling an English IPA I kegged three days ago.
Bittered and dry hopped with Admiral, also had some Challenger and Target later in the boil and in hopstand.
Light straw coloured with zingy orangey bitterness, also quite punchy at 6.3%.
I used Lalbrew Nottingham for the first time and it munched past 3 points passed predicted FG to 1.010

Also bottled some so might go in the secret santa...

Moved to Innis & Gunn and had, Caribbean Rum Cask

Right went to the shed and poured a pint. It’s that windy the head blew clean out of the glass on the way back so it’s the bought beer fridge for the rest of the night. First up a beer I first tasted in Amsterdam and loved how rounded it was. Sweet and creamy with a hint of Belgian spice bloody lovely.
