I remember getting a crate of Double Diamond from the old Wrexham Lager brewery when my father in law worked there. It was taken on a weekend away with friends up the coast staying in an old static caravan...I got plastered and managed to get my head stuck down the back of the sofa after falling over.

Whilst sorting the kegs I found an unmarked bottle in the fridge and i remembered that it was a bottle of dunkelweizen. A quick search and I remember it was sent it by
The engineer that brews. (Won't tag on my phone, will try the pc later).

Sorry it's been so long, only now i am really getting into my version. They are based on the same recipe and you can tell, very close. I think yours is slightly darker and a little sweeter but that is only noticeable when looking for something different.

This is a bit ‘meh’.
Strangely although it’s 5% the flavour seems to lack any real depth or backbone. A bit one dimensional… Don’t think I’d have it again.
