Must have ?? Were you ever not ??
there is a tool for every job and when it comes to trenches I use the right one (an apprentice) lol

hard work if your not used to it but will be well worth it in the end

Thanks for asking.
It was a small batch, more experimental than anything... used Munich malt then hopped with Cascade.

I also only boiled a small quantity of wort and then topped up in the demijohn with boiled water...
To be honest I think the small boil size probably contributed to the colour more due to a bit of caramelisation.
Probably couldn’t recreate it exactly if my life depended on it
