A celebratory pint of English Bitter as I’ve now finished all the fence painting-yay! Actually not quite a pint because the keg kicked. I do have one ready and waiting to put on tap though ;)

It’s also a reward because I went out for a run this morning. I only had a short run as a heads-up to my legs because I’ve barely moved for the last 18 months or so - other than to fetch another beer of course!

I thought as I had a tap temporarily free, I’d introduce myself to Summer Breeze V3.0. So here it is...

Quite soft mouthfeel, fruity aroma, juicy flavour, quite assertive bitterness giving the ale a pithy impression - this might back off a little as the ale conditions, it’s only 4 days old.

I might leave it on tap, you know, just for now ;)

@Hazelwood Brewery. What's the arrangement of your taps. IPAs and lagers through corny keg. All low carb beer through the king kegs

On tap I have things that turn-over quickly and don’t take an age to condition so this is my current arrangement. I do also have a Russian Imperial in a King Keg but not yet listed it because it has some way to go.

Last question for today. What is your serving pressure. Do you use set and forget

You can ask as much as you want, what the forum is for.

Mostly I set and forget but sometimes I’ll apply a higher pressure to a conditioning keg if I know the one on tap is low. I use 10psi for low-carb beers, 15psi for most other stuff, 20psi for more carbonated beers and any I send through the cooler to be chilled down because this adds line length.

Having lots of beers is one advantage of bottles. How many do you typically bottle in a batch?

First sample of my American Brown hopped with Simcoe & Galena. It's a bit more easy drinking that my Porter , same ABV at 6.2% but a slightly lighter mouthfeel. Nice pine and fruit aroma, with some chocolate from the brown malt.taste similar to the aroma but its not got the same chocolate/coffee flavour intensity as the porter. Showing promise I think🍺

Sounds nice and not unlike my own brown ale. athumb..

I should leave it there a bit longer yet.

When are you next in the area seeing your folks? I ought to bottle up one or two beers in readiness. You can also take some for @dan125 if you’re going to be seeing him soon ;)
I think should be next Tuesday late afternoon. Will have a Belgian pale, Brown ale..think the golden ale will be gone 😋
