Cask Tribute on a rainy Friday yet it taste so damm good happy Friday

I’m starting tonight with another guest beer from @Benfleet Brewery this time his 4.7% Vanguard Lager.

You can see it’s a lovely golden yellow colour and perfectly clear. Although there isn’t very much of a head the beer is well carbonated.

The aroma is nice but being chilled it isn’t very strong. The malt is most obvious and cracker-like in character.

The flavour is clean and that cracker aroma is more prominent in the flavour. Interestingly it seems to get even more strong in the finish and lingers for quite a while. It’s several seconds before the cracker flavour starts to subside and then you become aware of some residual bitterness. I don’t think I’ve very often had a beer where the finish is so long lasting.

This is a really nice beer and that cracker flavour is *really* moreish. My wife thinks so too so that’s official!

So tonight I’m starting with this NEIPA that I was kindly sent by @DocAnna

Now I can’t say I know anything about tasting beers, all I know is this is very easy for me to drink (and yummy).

The hubby who has more idea than me says it’s a very good representation of a NEIPA.

Thank you so much for the thought Anna, we really appreciate it! I can definitely drink this and it’s going down easy so far!

More QC...this time the Gumballhead clone...this is turning into a lovely beer...it's got a rounded citrus start with a lasting bitterness and then a soft mellow finish..

Finished Nightshift this morning so having an IPA start to the night with something different for me being the Tiny Rebel CLWB Tropica and real tropical hit on the nose but finding an overwhelming bitterness but shall finish it followed by Full Sail from Galway Bay but that's a cracker anyway.

Off nights this morning myself...at what point do you tend to start either...
Repeating yourself..
Become irrational...
Generally need a shed to hide in..?

Right. What on earth is this sh**e? Just glanced at the label and didn't look properly. It's got blooming ginger in it. Ginger. In an ale. WTF.

Think it's going down the drain, it's disgusting. That will teach me to read the labels properly.
