Drinking my first beer from my recent beer delivery. This one is bringing back some memories of being in Cologne for World Cup 2006. Smashed some Kolsch on that weekend, those mini Kolsch glasses were not that great for getting a few pints down before watching the football

New Tesco beer drop tomorrow.

Today’s little project was to sort out the pipe work for the outside tap and supply to the bar. I also replaced the tatty faded hose on the hose reel.
Now as a retired gentleman I should have treated those as two separate jobs and tackled them on different days. What I did there was effectively put in a double-shift so now I deserve a reward
English Pale Ale at 4.7% and hopped using EKG.

sometimes a modicum of hazy isn't enough. i no longer purple hazy so it had to be double hazy

Trying a lager I did last month, coming along nicely. It didn’t finish as low as I hoped (1.016 from 1.052) but only a touch of sweetness, some malt taste but clean and quite good body. Going down nicely in the sun.
GEB Crisp English IPA, definitely has improved with a few weeks in keg. IBU:OG is 0.6ish so more a summer golden ale than an IPA. Very easy drinking and crystal clear, as the view of the half finished crossword confirms!
A choccy stout...keg nearly empty...I need it for the ESB I got in the brew fridge.
Celebrating my new hat! It's a Tilley wanderer which I've just bought from Go Outdoors on price match with another 10% off for £49 instead of £63...paid for with vouchers from work so a result...if you like hats!
It'll be great for fishing,gardening and sitting round doing nothing..and to stop my head getting sun burnt!
Having a Summer Breeze now. This will be my next brew too, hopefully I can make it last!
