I am just about to finish the boil now. I made some slight changes.
5kg Maris
1 kg Munich
500g carafa 3 cold steep in 3 litres of water overnight. This is added to the boil
15 g magnum @60
20g citra 20g Simcoe @10 mins
30g citra 30g Simcoe @ hop stand
50g of each dry hop.
Pia yeast

That's what I did 😏
I’ve plenty of magnum but no citra or Sabro so will have to change the hops around a bit but a black ipa sounds good
Have a rare 5 days off next week so will get at least 3 brewed as stocks are low at the min.

What does the motueka add to it ? I have 200g of leaf hops here to try
That’s what I thought was weird! Like a Malibu sort of coconut in there! Not my cup of tea! Mind you I’m not a fan of coconut... won’t eat the dreaded Bounty 😂

You know what... I have no idea! I’ve never brewed with either! The combination was just a bit strange

It’s listed as lemon and lime flavours so don’t think it would go down well with a coconut flavour hop. Not a thing I would aim to try anyway. Coconut should be in a raspberry ruffle not a beer lol

I completely agree! It honestly tasted like Malibu 🙈

I wouldn't say it's fancy..it's a home.made counter pressure. Made from a bottling wand/tube, Silicone bottle top and a bung. Which I connect to a growler tap piece. Then I have a splitter with a picnic tap on my had line to purge the bottles before fillingView attachment 43031
Brilliant I was watching different video's on YouTube last night. I can't justify 90 pounds at the min on the one Dan and Leon have. 👍

Early try of my light pilsner pale with citra and cascade. This is nice

Was looking forward to this but while the aroma is there from the citra and I can taste the ahtanum hops as described as earthy and citrusy, slight pineapple flavour and sweet from the marshmallows it is nearly flat tasting I appreciate this style has low carbonation but something in it makes the carbonation hard to find as it’s slightly slick in mouthfeel. A strange one but at less than £2 in Tesco it’s money well spent to say I’ve tried it but won’t buy another

I have looked at the filler they have and I prefer the look of it to the beer gun. What I have does the job and is easy to clean so while it's working I won't be rushing to upgrade. It's so easy just to replace with the growler filler and off you go.

If you are bottling to drink within a couple of days I have connected some silicon to my intertap, run it to a party tap and then a length of silicon to the bottom of the bottle. Works ok. Obvs won't be using that method any longer.
