Another easy drinking stout, this time one of my own. Slightly lower ABV at 4.2% rather than 4.5%, mine has less body (this is a dry stout), and mine is less sweet as you’d expect. I’m already eyeing up a Westmalle Dubbel for my next beer.

Steady On Ale small batch AG kit by Oak Home Brew, which is a clone of Black Bat Ale, for anyone that knows that ale (I don't). Had my first bottle last night - really pleased with it. Deep amber/brown in colour - had to shine a light behind it to show the colour. Fruity aroma and a sweet malty taste. Will be having a few more tonight!

had a wee friday social call with two colleagues which thankfully involved liquids.
started with a 3/4 pint of my barley wine and let's just say i felt the double digit ABV.
now on to a brewdog west coast pale ale. it's a tasting a little bit lacking after starting with the behemoth. i'll struggle on through it.
bison vodka will feature shortly.

On to my Doppelbock next. It’s fairly strong at 6.6% but doesn’t taste like it. It does need to warm a little, this one was in a bottle in the garage and has lost a lot of it’s comforting silky feel through being too cold.
