This to start..very good at 2.8%!

Thought I would try this Lager, not sure why..it taste fine. Just don't understand it.
It's hopped like a American Pale but brewed with Lager yeast..so it just taste like a pale ale...but more of a hassel to brew than just using ale yeast🙄

Well perhaps this will give them some incentive to improve their quality control. When has it ever been a wise move to produce infected beer!
I think it's the biggest problem with anyone starting out. You have to be prepared to dump stuff. Your name is the most important part.
O' Connors was the same, I am not sure they even still trade.

I did a tour of a micro-brewery a few years back. The head brewer told me that they have to pay tax on everything, including dumped batches.
Might explain why some of the small breweries can have quality control issues

Tonight I have prepared Chicken Shawarma, thanks to dave_77.athumb..
I didn't like the sound of having it with chips, so I have made Punjabi Potatoes, with garlic, chilli, eggplant(sorry pilgimhudd) beans and will add some fresh coriander and frozen peas. This will be fried, so not dissimilar to chips. Accompanied by a Golden Ale.

Anyone see where the snow went?

Trying the plum porter to gauge if it’s matured enough for this months competition. It smells and tastes plummy and portery so seems to fit the bill 😉.

It’s pretty close I think and there is still the best part of three weeks until judging. Maybe. 🤔
not unhappy that the snow has gone but bit miffed i'm not tasting one of those. looks (and sounds) delicious.
