Gun Brewery Barley Wine 10%

A nice classic barley wine, heavy a little sweet, nice malty taste, just a good solid example of the style.

I am drinking this absolutely lovely dark sour saison from @samale. It's has a wonderful grape, red wine aroma with a bit of tart cherries. Flavour is a nice lactic like sour with a very nice raisin and cherry finish. It's very light on the palate but the flavour lingers and morphs into a nice malt, a hint of pepper and slightly bitter finish. There is a nice Brett aftertaste too. Alcohol seems low.

Wow I am really enjoying this, thanks for sending it. I like how it is a bit assertive sour up front but the mellows into a much more complex fruity flavour with some very nice brett character. This one is solid!

In an effort to get back on track I'm tackling days 15 and 16 from the calendar today. Taking them out of order though so first up is day 16, Flex a californian ipa at 5.3%. This has a nicely rounded hop flavour with just a bit of pine in the aftertaste. athumb..

This is my first attempt at a Brett Saison. I have to say I am well impressed, it's actually 7% abv.
I soaked prunes in red wine, this was added after 2 week's. It's around 6 month's old.

Thank you for the review

Just time to squeeze in today's advent beer, which is thankfully just a 5.5% APA
Very orangey aroma and flavour - surprised that fruit isn't listed in the ingredients
