End of a pretty awful (busy) week and now time to relax, I reckon I deserve it ;)

Pint of saison in the glass and the start of a new batch of IPA mashing. This one is heavily hopped with Vic Secret and also has Equanot as a supporting act. Magnum (of course!) for bittering.

Welcome to the weekend beautiful people! 🥳 🥳 🥳

Finally gotten around to @Hazelwood Brewery mosaic/simcoe ipa, and very nice it is too.
A bit lively but crystal clear.
Very clean again for a 6.9% beer and the bitterness is very nicely balanced whilst being assertive enough for an ipa. And the finish is dry enough to make it very drinkable.
As a certified hophead I'd like a little more hop aroma, but other than that.....top notch
:hat: acheers. athumb..

😂 Thanks @dan125 I did warn that I tend to over-carbonate bottles - seriously, I need to get that under control because it spoils the beer.

GH 60 Shilling. Has came on a wee bit in the time from my last fairly scathing assessment of it. Suspect maybe 3 or 4 months would do this one the world of good. Il never know as it was given away as a gift and only kept a couple.

@Hazelwood Brewery plum porter.
Very well done with the plum as it is prominent but not overpowering, and goes really well with the mild roasty chocolate.
Clean and well balanced bitterness.
Very nice
acheers.

I like this one too. I’ve set aside a little roasted barley to add a little more of that roasty flavour. I think the beer will take it.

A mango gose from local brewery, Electric Bear. Still undecided on the style. I think I prefer fruit Goses with a bigger kick of acid, be it from a more acidic fruit or the brew itself. The saline character is more prominent here. It's very drinkable but not sure it's my cup of fermented malted barley.

I'm furloughed and not sure if or when I'm going back, my wife's surprised I've waited until now to have a drink TBH athumb..
I'm furloughed aswell, time for one of my lagers I think after a 6 mile bike ride athumb.. 🍺 :beer1:
