The thing is I had a regular load of visitors when my shift fell days off on the weekend...I cook a lot and then I have usually have loads of beer so it sort of attracts...but I never seemed to get the return invite...it's bitter sweet...me and Mrs Clint enjoy the quiet of recent weeks but I do long for the norm...

Well I’ve seen worse justifications for buying a particular beer, case in point I’m now drinking Little Ox Dark and Seedy a vanilla stout, the vanilla taste is fairly strong but it makes for a lovely sweet stout. But I mostly bought it based on the name.

You’re right, it did (sorted me right out!). Once the norm comes back you'll soon be wishing it was quiet again when all those buggers are drinking your beer!

Only 2 bottles of my Irish/American Red ale left and drank one of those earlier. I've went and done it again, beer was great, drank the lot way too early. Thing is I know if I brew it again i'll probably do the same thing again.

helles lager, and St. Peter’s stout... the stout is very good and clear? (As far as I can tell)
The helles not clear, but only been 4 days in the keg. Though like a few others I alway drink it before it’s really ready and the last few pints are always the best. I‘ll Just have to keep brewing until I get so much I can drink it so quick....

I was hoping my latest brew of Tiny rebel Cwtch would be ready but it hasnt cleared yet so had to make do with a Polypin of Leigh on sea brewery Kursall Gold, and most excellent it is too! Thoroughly recomended.

Before I start on the Cloudwater single hop IPAs I've been saving as a birthday treat I thought I'd wet my whistle with a glass of HB APA.
The hop character is better for 2 weeks in the keg (although still not great) and there's no sign of this one doing a Hazelwood yet thankfully

Just had a couple of stouts, and a taste of the plum porter with my daughter who dropped of some more beers for me.

The plum porter has been conditioning for a week but already it tastes like it’s going to be good - the new “Special Ingredients” plum flavouring is much better than the Uncle Roys I used last time and is more like Titanic.

So, following my daughters visit, this is my choice this afternoon. Where to start?

Think I’ll make a bacon banjo while I decide. The Dunkel and the Rauchbier are both shouting at me at the moment.

I'm starting a bit late today, the Mrs wanted to go for a walk mid brew! I left it mashing whilst we went out and now it's on the boil.

A cheeky Mosaic El Dorado pale whilst I keep an eye out for boil overs.

Trying the centennial ipa first.

Not really getting much of the 'orange and pink grapefruit upfront' described on the can but I am getting the earthy notes and pithy aftertaste it mentions.
It's interesting but I wouldn't rush to open another one.
