it was only 8% when steve gave me a bottleCrikey...I remember you making that!
Yeah 120 year's they now do a blonde tom and a Ginger tom nice but old tom is superb I still reckon old tom stopped the pain when I had a tooth out !!Its won lots of awards over the years. Is it the 150 anniversary of Old Tom or something. Was up north before Christmas and all the nothern chains - Booths, Morrisons really pushing it in bottles. I have a quite good clone on the go - was going to enter it for dark beers but poor lad doing the judging already has about 20 overstrength ones to get through
Enjoyed the my stout. Been waiting to try these from Verdant in Cornwall green tin called 300 laps of the garden the other Random rules been waiting for them to chill View attachment 27542

tip split the driving - say "i'll find the way there thatss the most difficult bit" - then someone else can drive back. :hat:
Yeah its defo noticable at 15% but not in your face. Are you getting much out of the rye Dan
Both the beers superb 300 laps can almost chew the hops like opening a tin of liquid hop pellet's. As for Random Rules its now burning my taste buds with hops. Both great beers canned 3 days ago so uber hippy freshnessSeems a lifetime ago I sat in their little bar in downtown Falmouth (my daughter is at Uni down there) and enjoyed sampling their brews - picked up a few from the brewery on the way home !

Not been to either booza in a while. Saracens is (was before lockdown) a popular spot for a decent meal. Heatons Bridge last time I went in was on a hot summer day after a walk along the canal. A small hot and humid bar but a decent set of pumps and some character. When this lockdown business is over I'm going to visit all the pubs along the canal from The Ship in Haskayne to the The Ship in Burscough. On my shortlist to have a crack at replicating. @cushyno sure weve had this conversation before but how is the Saracens Head and the Heatons bridge faring in these difficult times?
