Today's advent brew from Siren was their session Ipa. Since I have a bottle of a thornbridge session Ipa to try as well, I thought I'd duo them.
The thornbridge has more hoppy bitterness and nearly a percent more abv, so not quite as sessionable!
The Siren is made with Earl Grey tea, which I'm partial to, but not sure I want it in my beer!
Both OK, and wouldn't be adverse to the odd bottle from the respective breweries mixed cases. Not going to be ordering either outside of that though.

Bottling my American amber tonight. That verdant yeast doesn't like to drop at all. I can't cold crash this one, it's in my 30 litre fermentor

What's it like? I bought the Nelson and Galaxy ones in my last order from them (both very good) together with the Imperial Kirsch and Imperial Black Forest Gateau stouts which I'm trying to save until Christmas
It's very good . Lots of fruit and pine... just what you'd expect from simcoe.
Its nice and soft and bitterness is much lower than the life and death

I am putting an order in with vocation. Free delivery over 35 pounds. @Pennine did you see the barrel aged imperial stout with cherrys
They seem to release barrel-aged stouts and single hop beers in pairs. They did a banana stout and a ginger one a couple of months ago. Six months ago I ordered the barrel-aged Belgian quad with raspberries which was delicious.
