First up the NEIPA. Well this is really very good which pleases me because there's a shortage of good breweries in NI. As you can see it certainly looks the part, and although it's a little too bitter for the style it has a fantastically intense resiny hop flavour, predominantly pineapple and passionfruit, with some grapefruit. Very enjoyable indeed.

Must keep a look out for them. Interesting name, Merc bro😁😁

First beer of the night after a long 12hr shift. I have been looking forward to this all week. It's a Belgian blond by @Hopsteep.

The beer pours a lovely golden straw colour, high carbonation as per style which settles. Clarity is very good with next to zero sediment.
Aroma I am picking up some nice light spiciness. The beer is light on body with a dry finish. Again a spicy peppery finish that warms the throat but not in a bad way. It's 7.1% which is dangerously well hidden.
Over all a very enjoyable beer and one I would be proud of if I made it myself. Thank you for sharing👍

Trying out my new minikeg of Czech Pale Lager tonight. First pint poured beautifully, but the second was awfully spluttery and came out without much fizz (I assume I caused some of the CO2 to come out of suspension) - Any idea why that was - not enough pressure for the 2nd pour? The opposite? It’s at 10PSI and I don’t have a flow control tap

Here’s the beautiful first pint:

Well about halfway through that NEIPA it got a little rough around the edges and a touch of hop burn as it got warmer. Still a very nice beer but not as smooth as I'd like.

Next is their bock. Instant whiff of DMS as soon as I poured it, not a great start. Flavourwise it's really very poor. Nasty vegetal flavours with a tartness that really shouldn't be there. Disappointing because I can tell there's a nice beer in there somewhere, but this is going down the drain.

Ilkley Blonde, nice inoffensive blonde ale. Very sessionable, as the label suggests.

Withens Pale. Very similar, slightly more malty. Label says it's hippy; I would say it's just a bit more zingy than the Ilkley Blonde but that may be down to hop choice rather than amount perhaps?

Both ideal session beers.

Absolutely amazing, drinks like liquid melted ice cream, it's that thick, but with a massive drizzle of alcohol.

Not really a fan of sours but she seems to like them. They hang around in the fridge for a long time as I refuse to drink them.

Made the decision to postpone our wedding for 8 months today so having a few from a free Beer 52 subscription:

First 2 of the left went down very easily and now on to the Happy Days Pale Ale...
Hi mate, sorry to hear that. Must've been a difficult decision to have made.

The Wherry is just so good I've had to have a second 😁 athumb.. :beer1:🍺

Kirkstall Dissolution IPA. Nice American IPA, although, perhaps I'm getting jaded, but it tastes like almost every other American IPA. Actually, that's not accurate, it's a deal more malty; but I sort of long for a bit of yeast character in an IPA. That's probably just me.
