Officially, I've been drinking this, this evening.
Except it's in a silver tin, because I was given a can a few weeks back, before they put the labels on.

Right now, I feel like those people that used to get "white labels" of records (Anyone remember those?). I have the other one they announced tonight - Ebony Abyss. But at 11.4%, that's going to need a "special" evening.

I was handed another "silver tin" tonight. I can't tell you what it is, because there's a competition on to guess what it is. The only clue I'll give is that I'm not bothered about it, but the wife is.

Oddly enough, I’ve got one user upper brew day left before I move house. I’ve got a fLIck ton of US hops and 1 sachet of MJ California Lager Yeast. A cold IPA was top of the list. My last one came out a storm, much of it got put away on this brew day

I suppose I just don’t like lagers. Seriously though the ones I’ve tried have not inspired me at all. Possibly I chose the wrong ones but there are sooooo many good beers out there I won’t be trying any more
 
My Sweet/Milk Stout.


In shadowed glass, your richness gleams,
A velvety brew of darkened dreams.

I'm not drinking at this time - meant to post this last night!

Muntons Connoisseurs Bock - a gap filler brew as the weather and life has got in the way of AG brewing. I replaced the kit yeast (which i believe is an ale yeast) with MJ M76 Bavarian Lager Yeast and used Coopers Light LME. Fermented in my fermzilla under pressure. 2 weeks in the keg at 5degC, 12psi. Carbonation is great and the beer has cleared well. It's just a described on the kit - Lager-y and malty 😄

I wasn't expecting much from this kit, having watched review of it, but I managed to get through about 3 pints quite easily last night!

Very, very dark brown. Just a hint of ruby highlights at the bottom of the glass.

Poured with a foamy head, which dissipated to a cm of head throughout the pint. As expected with a carbonated stout

Big roast, chocolate, and earthy aromas and flavours in this one.

Bitterness is there, but a spot on level for me as doesn't intefere with the overall balance of the beer

Finish is spicy and dry, do I detect some rye?
