Wow it is dry on here in January! Cold out so good excuse for this:

Not at all how I remember it from August. Hmm.

Not dry in this house lol

I'm having an espresso martini of sorts. Not very exciting so didn't get a picture. Jim is drinking my English IPA, which I brewed on the 26/10 and has been conditioning while we've been on holiday. We also have a stout on tap that's been doing the same. (Jim brewed that one).

Last night certainly wasn't dry for me.
It was my car club monthly meet up
at the Dering arms, Pluckley (supposedly a haunted pub and even more so in the village).
I think I had 3 and a half Dering ale, aka Goachers bitter. Sorry, no photo.
The half hour wait at the station for my train at 11pm was deeply cold, but I was treated to a serenade by owls in the woods all around. I think there were three types hooting and twitting away.
All very spirit lifting!

Back to my pre-December weight so having a treat.

V4 (I think) of my Irish Red. Some changes were forced (hop change) and some voluntary (added a bit of Weyermann CaraRed and used CML Beóir yeast).

If I'm honest, prefer my previous versions. This has a bit too much toffee, which I'm blaming on the CaraRed, but that may round out as it conditions. Colour is a tad darker too.
