Here in wednesbury west Mids the bloody white stuff is 8 inches deep and is still falling, local roads impassible, only upsides are its Sunday and the kiddies will love it.that's all

Likewise across the Channel! Perfect for brewing, can't do anything else.

When I came to Skegness from Derbyshire as a 13 year old I brought along my sledge; not realising that A) Snow in Skegness is as rare as hens teeth. B) There isn't a decent hill within about five miles!

Today is no exception!

Despite a Met Office "Yellow Warning" all we have is drizzle and three degrees. Michael Fish has a lot to answer for!

Had a couple of inches. Snowman built, along with snowbunny. My 4yo niece arrived from Australia a couple of days ago. She's never even put a warm coat on before. She's having the time of her life!

This was 2 hours ago in Leicestershire and it’s still coming thick and fast.

Bottling up day me thinks and a few wines to chuck on .

That journey must have taken ages with that guy carrying the red flag in front of the car:whistle:

Nothing here in Nigeria, just scorching sun:grin:

Was out there at Port Harcourt as a sailor in 1961 and at a place called Amoku working for Asamera Oil in 1989.

One memory is the way my teeth furred over when I was daft enough to ask the cook what the meat was on my plate because it tasted delicious.

"Bush meat." he replied, "Anything that comes out of the jungle. Monkey, chimpanzee, rats who knows?" and walked away.

For some reason it didn't quite taste as nice so I sprinkled on plenty of Tabasco before continuing to eat.

Happy Days! :thumb: :thumb:

I really don't know what all the fuss in the media is about. It's winter. It snows on occasion. Some folks get it worse than others, and sadly it does cause some hardship and disruption. But it melts at some point. Get over it.

Snow in Compton (south of Oxford). Tried going out but all roads blocked with accidents and overturned white van man.
So went home sat in pub shed pulled a beer and listening to Blues power on Planet Rock 😀

Happy to say that I survived the Great Snow of 2017 here in SW London. A light dusting before 10am now turned to slush by rain.

I got out of birmingham just in time then. (friday)

Thought you was going to say 1965.... Nuthing here in South Yorks except a few flakes in the wind. Been watching the radar and the northern extent must have stalled 5 miles from here... gutted cos I love snow. But! The same radar shows a great chunk turning back on itself on the east coast and heading straight for us. Looking good so long as it doesn't fizzle out en route.

Snowing quite hard here on the Surrey/SW London borders,:)

Yep, Tooting is getting a second 'barrage' right now. I'm expecting the army round to help clear the roads any minute now, I presume the COBRA committee is meeting as we speak.
