Weather too hot to brew?

Hi Chaps,
This weather is playing havoc with my temperature control. In my garage it varies between 20/26c, more in the higher range than the lower (although just looked a minute ago and it was 18c) Any advice what I can brew in this temperature range? I haven't got a brew fridge, just a heated brew box.

Any ideas?

The yeast with the Coopers kits is fairly tolerant of higher temps, IME.
 
Get a massive plastic box full it with water put your fv in it. Should even out the temps. For the final touch a fish tank heater to even the temps out at night. I find the coopers kits strange. Some have mentioned 50/50 split of ale and lager yeast. In future I'm gonna swap the yeasts out.

Hmmm, might try the box, I've got a couple of spare aquarium heaters. I brewed a Coopers English Bitter but used the Wilkos Gervin Yeast, it definitely was an improvement on taste. Not so bitter and harsh.

Yes - up to 23 or even 24 they seem to come out OK. But that's it - just OK. Current brew is a Coopers English bitter with a Wilko Lager can, sugar and a dry hop of Bouclier - maybe 30g? - I got 100g of this fairly newly bred French hop off of Rob the Malt Miller for a quid. Anyway this is being stewed at present 23-24, though the first few days were maybe less extreme.

The real truth is that the very best Coopers kit I did was a Real Ale kit brewed in ther depths of December last year at 21C throughout in the airing cuboard. Crisp tasting, with no added ingredients save a 500g DME and all drunk up in a few weeks. Just so clear to see and to taste and just so good.:drink:

That sounds interesting, let us know how it comes out. Wouldn't have thought mixing Bitter and Lager together.
Haven't tried the Real Ale kit yet and to be honest all the Coopers kits, apart from the gorgeous Stout, do tend to taste quite bitter to me.Only my opinion though.
May give the Real Ale a go and use Gervin yeast.
