M Moley Regular. Joined Mar 31, 2009 Messages 224 Reaction score 30 Oct 9, 2010 #4 There's a big difference between campden powder and metabisulphite. If you were to use metabisulphite you would need around one twentieth of a level teaspoonful to your 5 gallons. Half a CT is much easier.
