Hi all,

I have got the water specs for my area see below, however on the water calculator on this forum there is a number of values which are not listed on the report like Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulphate, can someone take a look and let me know if I'm missing something. Could be me not knowing how to read the values.

Thanks

Hey Neilos, I just tried to read that attachment and I couldn't really make much out as the quality isn't fantastic from the screenshot. Im only on mobile at the moment but I usually don't have an issue.

You might get more help if you can provide a download url to your report or provide the name of your water company (Northumberland water?) & post code. I know that the values from my water company are not straight forward to read and input into the homebrew spreadsheets!

In any case, you will probably find that the report from your water company only provides results from 2-3 years ago, and are influenced by seasonal variations making them inaccurate at best.

You would probably benefit from investing in a range of Salifert kits to determine the chemical concentrations that you actually care about; or it may be worth periodically sending off a water sample to Murphy & sons for water analysis (which will set you back about £35).

Hi Ben, thank for the reply, yeah I think the best option is to get it tested, the report is from 2018. I'll attach a copy anyway see if you can make any sense of it.
