Chemsan in a spray bottle will do just as well, it's just (moderately) less faff.
The tree bottle is a good idea where do you store your bottles I just put them in the box I bought them in

As I only bottle my excess I have a crate like you get from a pub and I have a bottle tree as well. I rarely bottle more than 5 big bottles.
I got a pressure keg last week but not used it yet but I have 2 brews on the go so 1 will be keg 1 bottles

I too just rinse out my bottles immediatly after pouring them. They're always stored in boxes with lids, so they stay clean.
Then i submerse them in no-rinse san (upright in a brew-bucket) immediately before refilling them. Doing it that way for 10 yrs. Never a problem.

I rinse straight after pouring, then in the dishwasher before bottling. For glass bottles I use the normal program which goes up to 70 C, that's on its onw high enough to kill off the germs. For PET I use VWP (or similar) powder in the dishwasher on a short program that only gets up to 45C.

My outdoor tap is in an awkward place I wonder if I could get it moved and have an outdoor hot tap? Is that even a thing ?

I have an outdoor hot tap!

The people who used to live here had hooked up a dog-wash shower outside, but taking a feed from the sink in the downstairs loo. I removed the shower, and connected it all to a massive catering pot-wash sink which makes my whole clean-up process a lot easier.

My dishwasher is a total utter piece of garbage and would make the bottles dirtier. I use a bottle brush and the vinator on the day with no rinse sanitiser.
