I agree, it's vile, and the sickly sweet smell is horrific.

No better than passive smoking if you ask me.

I'm dreading going in bars in America when I go to see my son, as he says some of them actually allow cigarette smoking.

The vape police will be along in a minute 😂
I went to America about 30 years ago and you could smoke on the plane. We also had a free bar so it was like a flying pub for 7 hrs. Smoking in pubs was normal then and I smoked like a trooper but I couldn’t stand someone smoking while I was eating. Seen a few people actually light up after their starter and then again after their mains.
Hate vaping because most people only do it to look cool. You don’t look cool and you sound like darthvader 😡😡

Yeah, but the air around you in a pub has also been in someone's lungs/bowels whether you can see the vapour or not. You clearly drink in nicer pubs than me 😂
Spot on. And tobacco smoke is an excellent fumigant.
Haven't smoked for a good number of years, but always thought I'd take it up again if I was given a life sentence. Used to love a roll up of OldHolborn on liquorice paper.

I used to do a 50/50 mix of Old Holborn and Golden Virginia.

Probably for the same reasons i started smoking 40+ years ago it was the cool thing to do and everyone else was doing it.
(i quit cigs in 2000 and have never vaped)
Yes, I stopped smoking 30 years ago now. Started for the same reason as you. Never vaped either. The thing with ”real“ smoke is, until you get used to it, it smells and tastes absolutely disgusting. Vape smoke appears to be far more easy to like, and subsequently become addicted to.

As a vaper, former 40 a day smoker, I find it odd that I can't vape in a pub, but it's quite acceptable to openly be having / going to the toilet for lines/keys/knuckles of cocaine. I'm more likely to be ejected for vaping.

I think they're brilliant. I started smoking pretty young and tried everything to stop. Used the vape for a couple of years and don't smoke at all now.
I do agree that the people who blow big clouds are a pain in the ass though.

I vape, after 20 years or smoking, and like when I smoked - I am considerate.
I always go outside to vape - even at home. I've never smoked in my own house! I never vape in close proximity to people at the market or shops and I always ensure I blow my vae away from anyone that is around me.

Why is it so difficult to be considerate of others? Is it just a sign of our current social state that this just isn't a 'thing' anymore?
I remember when blowing your *** smoke towards someone meant you were offering them out for a smacking round the side of the pub...why is it now accepted to do it with vapes?

there was nothing like the smell of a freshly opened packet, the first draw in the morning, a beer and a ***,

I haven't smoked for 23 years and i still miss a ciggy and a pint also the one after Christmas dinner when you are full to bursting.

Better to just give up. Feel better and better everyday

Any fellow Pipers out there ? I occasionally dabble with the Briar....some of the aromatic tobaccos are just gorgeous........
