I dispute your statement about Lebanon because it didn't even exist as a self-governing country before 1943; so I fail to see how what has happened (or is still happening) in that country can be "in the long run".

It may very well be that the "secular democracy" that you describe will develop into an "Islamist hellhole" but I would like to point out that there are many millions of people happily living in Islamic countries; and many Muslims happily living in non-Islamic countries like the UK.

As there are more Muslim people living in the UK than in the whole of Lebanon, I would like to refer you to the last line within the Wikipedia description of Lebanon which states ...

"As the number of Syrian refugees increases, the Lebanese Forces Party, the Kataeb Party, and the Free Patriotic Movement fear the country’s sectarian based political system is being undermined."

Perhaps the UK should have contributed more Foreign Aid to Lebanon when the crisis first arose; and the current problems could probably have been avoided. :thumb:

I didn't suggest that violent nuttery is confined to Muslims because it isn't - although they do have a twisted delusional worldview that is particularly well suited to idiocy.
We could look to Russia in 1917, to Germany in the 30's, Cuba or Cambodia as examples of violent nutters gaining control to the detriment of he populous.
However, the subject under discussion is islamist violence and Lebanon was just a tiny example of Islamists "nutters" conducting a campaign of terrorism as an interim step to full control.

This a well practiced model because Mohammed himself was a warlord who slaughtered Jewish and pagan Arab tribes alike in his lifetime. Which India is that?

I lived and worked in India for roughly 50% of the eight years from 1995 to 2003 and during this time I worked with Indian Christians, Indian Hindus, Indian Muslims and a Sikh to two.

I even helped this multi-ethnic society to celebrate 50 years of Indian Independence in 1997 and everyone was proud to be an Indian; regardless of their particular religious persuasion.

If you are referring to the people who died after the UK split up the area that they had controlled for nearly one hundred years then you have to look at what the UK did at the time and the chronic mess they made of it.

The fact that so many people died was mainly due to the maladministration of the UK government than any re-writing of history to blame specific religious factions within India.

For the record, I've spent around 4 years in India when I add it up - mostly in blocks of around 3 months duration but still enough to add up to more time in the sub-continent than most British Indians.

o ONLY 1% of themi would like a separate islamic state within the UK.

o 66% prefer same sex schools. (Just like the Grammar School in Chesterfield that I attended.)

o Another question that caught my eye was "What do you think is the percentage of Christians in the UK?" The Muslims thought 63% of the population of the UK are Christians. The ones that think that are listening to the chest beating idiots who profess their Christianity rather than live it. I suggest that anyone who thinks 63% of the UK population is Christian should attend their local church on a cold, wet Sunday morning to find out how many there are!

o The phenomena of Islamic State was supported in its efforts by 7% of Muslims but opposed by nearly TEN times as many at 67%.

o I have to refer you to Page 332 of the first set of questions. There is an absolutely classic response to tackling the causes of violent extremism.

o I was delighted to see that:
- 87% are not sympathetic to violence.
- 96% are not sympathetic to extremism.

Well, it must be wonderful to live in your rose tinted world.
Personally, I tend towards the view that the world would have been a better place without 800 years of tyrannical horror in India that left at least 80 million dead, just as the world would have been a better place without the horrors that the Christian church imposed on Europe between the fall of the Roman empire and he renascence.

Although not a formal poll, the fact that more British Muslims were fighting for ISIS than serving in British armed forces, is probably more disturbing and insightful than a study of expressed opinion. While the number of Muslims serving in the British armed forces in 2016 was a little over 550 (thanks to targeted recruitment efforts), studies show that the number of British Muslims traveling to ISIS was at least 700-760 (probably much higher, about 850). The UK has arrested hundreds of others who were in the act of trying to join. There are no such barriers to Muslims serving in the armed forces, of course, yet few choose to do this, despite the public line that "terrorists aren't Muslim". Clearly, most British Muslims do not really believe that ISIS is a group of heretics killing true Muslims.

You are wasting your time, not only because you can't post videos but because people don't want to hear that Islam is indistinguishable from Nazism.
Persecution of Jews, hatred of homosexuals, authoritarian rule, death for those who openly oppose the regime and of course holocausts - the worst holocaust in human history was the Islamic invasion of India which had a death toll in excess of 80 million.
The only real differences are that:
Hitler never killed anybody whereas Mohammed personally killed thousands including more than 600 members of a force that had surrendered to avoid a battle.
Hitler wasn't a wife beater but Mohammed was.
Hitler wasn't a slave owner but Mohammed was.
Hitler wasn't a paedophile but Mohammed was.
Muslims haven't successfully invaded Poland - the Poles are having none of it.

The Poles have of course taken in hundreds of thousands of refugees from the conflict in Ukraine, a fact that is barely recognised by the EU. They simply want nothing to do with the endless stream of culturally incompatible and economically useless (more than 80% are illiterate in their own language) economic migrants flooding Europe from Africa and the Middle East. In doing so, they have of course avoided the "cultural enrichment" seen in Cologne, Manchester and Barcelona. Best of luck to them and it's good to see the Hungarians and the Czechs standing right alongside them.

How about this for an example.

Earlier in this Thread the country of Lebanon was described as "an Islamist hellhole" ...

... but today, the Interior Minister of Lebanon announced that they had intercepted and stopped a terrorist bomb on a flight to Australis with 400 people onboard.

So is the country of Lebanon really an "Islamist hellhole" or is it just another misrepresented Islamic country with a working government that has an Interior Ministry active in the discovery and prevention of terrorism?
