Using Yeast other than SAFALE S-04

hello Guys

Im brewing quite alot now and have now got down a good APA & Stout but i always use SAFALE S-04. Would any of you suggest other types of yeast i should use for the APA & Stout plus a best bitter.

Try Nottingham yeast

I'd use Safale US-05 for any pale ale

yep, us-05 for american pale ales etc. you can harvest some pretty good yeasts from beers like fullers 1845, you'd be surprised what a difference it makes too. if you're interested in reading more, see this thread...

otherwise there are yeasts like Windsor, Nottingham etc...
