As title suggests , would it be ok if i ran the water a bit to clear any crap in it fill up a fv with hose water from garden tap to the required amount when brewing , only my new brewing area is in garage at end of garden,

Won't the bacteria be killed when the water is boiled
I fill my Grainfather and sparge water heater from a short run of green garden hose, albeit attached to an inside kitchen tap. Like you say if it's flushed out first I'm sure it's fine.I'm not convinced by the need for food-grade hose. If the hose is fully flushed first, i.e. all 'stagnant' water is washed out, I would think the water is in contact with the hose for so little time that it wouldn't matter.
