Does anybody know whether its possible to use real chocolate in the brewing of beer? If so do you know the method? My thinking was you could melt the chocolate before hand and add it into the boil?

Cheers!

I would avoid it like the plague. Cocoa powder can be used to give a hint of chocolate, but if I was going for a chocolate flavour then I would probably go for some chocolate essence added during the secondary . . . Star Kay Whites chocolate essence which would be perfect for this

Thanks Aleman :thumb: will try it in my next brew! I'm assuming not a great deal would be required just to give it that hint of chocolate?
