Has anyone used or modified a bathroom scale or found a suitable load cell for weighing a boiler? I've been using a calibrated stick to measure depth, but a few mm out either way has a huge effect on boil-off and efficiency calcs. It's probably not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, but eliminating one more variable would make me happy!

I'm considering starting with dismantling the cheapest Argos electric scale, but wondered if anyone had any hints.

I was planning with wort in it, so I can monitor boil-off rate. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to suspend 30 l of boiling wort.
