Using a freezer to lager -1°C

I have STC controller that I use to control the cooling and heating in my fridge, assuming I use the STC to control lagering in a freezer at -1°C would I need a heater ?

Nope.

A freezer removes heat from the inside. They're designed to run at minus 15 to 20. It just means that it'll hardly do any work... :thumb:

Unless it is below -1 outside you will be ok.

I should be collecting what I hope will be a bargin freezer (£7) tomorrow :-) and wanted to be sure I wouldn't need to fit a heater yet.

Freezers don't get rid of condensation..... Stick the keg or bottles in a bin bag...it will save the mess
