But Netflix and Prime do carry live content, which requires a TV license.
But the people who are refusing to buy a licence have sign the exemption form to say they do not watch live TV its down to the licencing authority to prove they are.

The whole thing just isn’t fit for purpose any more, so it makes sense to reform the TV license. If you’re going to have a TV license at all then you’re probably going to apply it to all forms of entertainment content viewing and not just live/broadcast content which is rapidly disappearing.
I think it would be easier to tell the BBC they need to accept adverts scrap the licence and let people watch what they want when they want free of charge then we can all live happily ever after ;)

I've done that for years, we've even had a couple of unexpected visits from the license fella to check.

They don't seem to be the most switched on bunch, one of them spent about five minutes asking if my broadband router was some sort of TV receiving equipment, there was a big BT logo printed on it and it clearly ran to a telephone...

The time has come, get the adverts on there and reduce the financial strain on households..

I sacked Sky TV years ago and bought a Freesat recorder box that uses the Sky dish

If members have never heard of Freesat and have a dish i would highly recommend this recorder -

Edit to add -
It doesn't mention Wi-fi in the about this product below but if you look at the bottom it does connect by Wi-fi or ethernet for catchup etc.

As always, take every single thing you see on YouTube with a pinch of salt.
Unlike the News (which whilst it's a bit iffy, they are regulated), there is no regulation of YouTube.

You can pretend that your house has been taken over by Aliens that look like sexy models, using AI generated fake video and you can't be done for it.

I'm not saying it's not true. I'm saying mainstream media is perfect, but YouTube is literally the Wild West.

The mainstream media and what they don't tell you is amazing, so much so it's a joke, voice coach and Starboy . you will not find this on mainstream and he backs it up, this guy is a Barrister

It's daft really innit? A licence for a tv...what if you never switched it on?
Also sounds like it could jump outa the corner and savage an unwanted guest!
