Oh my god  I honestly cant believe I paid £3.59 for a bottle of Beer. A 335ml bottle at that.
This is worth every penny.
It smells of not much realy. To me it smelt like Newcastle Brown (which made my heart sink). Not much of a head about 1mm of lacing around the edge of the glass. This laceing stays with you all the way to the bottom of the glass. The taste OH THE TASTE. This is a stunning Beer and I dont say that lightly. This could be the best Beer I have ever tried. There are a whole heap of mixed up tastes in there. There is Chocolate, Liquorice, Maple Syrup, subtle hop tones but nothing over powers. It has a thick feel in the mouth and it actually tastes DARK. It is not sweet or bitter it is perfectly balanced. At 9% abv 335ml is all you need but is not enough. I could have drunk a much larger glass QUITE HAPPILY.
I owe this beer to the members of this forum. I have been a member less than a year. I intended to brew kit beers to just get some cheap beer in the house. I am now brewing AG making good wines and drinking beers I would have never dreamed off. On Saturday I ventured into a pub, they had my old default John Smiths Smooth on tap, I opted to try the localy brewed Fools Nook real ale and discovered hoppy beer's don't have to taste bitter. I thank the members here for giving me the courage and confidence to try different non mass produced beer's. You have given me the pleasure of finding this Beer.
