Yes, @Hazelwood Brewery mentioned the 'C' word recently which has made me think I need to get some cold dark nights beers on the go. Definitely going to re-do my Abbot Ale clone and I was thinking about doing a few darker ones pushing the ABV a bit. Haven't tried Mena Dhu, I'll give it a go and maybe model something on that.
Had a pint of Mena Dhu in Dartmouth yesterday and it is superb. My version isn’t ready yet. I know all the malts and hops but not the quantities. I’ve put 300g of Smoked Malt hope it not too much.

I know that we are all supposed to look down on pub Guinness, but I quite like it. And if it didn't exist what would I drink when you are stuck in a pub with no decent ales? This whole thing about good and bad Guinness also seems odd, because it seems a remarkably consistent product to me. Guinness is like a reliable friend!

I had 3 pints of the black stuff in my local last night. Lovely stuff. Plus only £4 a pint

There's a Twitter thread (**** London Guinness) on the subject. https://x.com/shitlondonguinn
