hiya everyone. ive been thinking about getting a fridge to condition my beer in. the type i mean is the ones you see behind bars in pubs or even the type in shops that they keep all the cold drinks in. is there anyone out there who as used one of these. any feedback would be most appreciated.

I've not used one but I know people who have. . . . Pros . . . they have a built in adjustable thermostat . . . so you don't need to fit one . . . cons they are expensive. . . . you can't fit a tap through the door as its made of glass.

I have been looking at the big double fronted can coolers (Nearly had one for 200 quid, but had to pass on it as I would have had to tidy the shed out :( ), remove the double glazed units from the door replacing them with a stainless steel sheet/ Kingspan sandwich, then fitting the taps through the door. . . . but with a standard fridge once the shelves and door shelves are removed it is so much easier to convert . . . . Vossy's is a particularly smart job.

TBH a standard fridge is a much better option, its a simple matter to replace the thermostat, and they are often available quite cheaply through the small ads or even free from freecycle
